About Exede High Speed
Exede Satellite Broadband internet is a new high speed satellite internet service offered by ViaSat Inc. who acquired the former WildBlue Communications in 2009. In 2011, ViaSat launched the ViaSat-1 satellite, which has drastically improved both the economics and quality of service for satellite internet customers. The improved service has been branded as Exede Broadband and offers download speeds of up to 12Mbs (3 Mbps upload). Current Wildblue customers can upgrade to Exede service with the installation of new equipment. Their service is available virtually anywhere in the contiguous US.
Features of their High Speed Internet Service Include:
- Speeds of up to 12 Mbps. Some locations may only be eligible for speeds of up to 5 Mbps
- Pricing and plans are based on data usage and not speed. All plans have access to the highest available speeds.
